STUNNING RESIN DRIVEWAY

Our clients in Hutton Mount, Brentwood, wanted to upgrade their driveway after their existing tarmac surface had begun to deteriorate. To ensure a long-lasting and durable finish, we carried out a full removal of the old driveway before reconstructing the base.

A new permeable tarmac foundation was installed, providing a stable and well-draining surface to support the final resin-bound layer. This approach enhances both durability and water management, preventing future wear and tear.

For the finishing touch, we applied a sleek Silver Grey resin-bound surface, creating a smooth and modern aesthetic. A contrasting border was added using a blend of black and silver resin, precisely shaped with aluminium trims to achieve a crisp, defined edge.

How do I clean a resin bound surface?

A simple sweep with a stiff broom will remove debris. For deeper cleaning, use a pressure washer with a fan-type lance, keeping at least 200mm from the surface to avoid damage. Avoid turbo nozzles or high-pressure jets in one spot.

Resin bound surfaces are resistant to weed growth, but wind-blown seeds may settle on the surface. Regular brushing and occasional power washing will help prevent this. If needed, apply a mild weed killer that’s safe for resin.

For oil spills, clean the area as soon as possible using a biodegradable oil remover, followed by a rinse with warm water. Avoid harsh solvents or bleach, as they may discolour or damage the surface.

Yes – rock salt or standard de-icing products are safe to use on resin bound surfaces during cold weather. These won't damage the resin and will help maintain grip in icy conditions.

We recommend light maintenance every few months, including brushing, washing, and checking for any debris or algae in shaded areas. This will keep the surface looking clean and performing as intended for years to come.
