UNIQUE RESIN-BOUND DRIVEWAY DESIGN

This impressive new build home in Brentwood, Essex, required a driveway that matched its modern design and high-quality finish. Working closely with the building contractor, we installed a durable and stylish resin-bound surface to complement the property’s aesthetic.

To ensure a strong and well-draining foundation, we first laid a permeable tarmac sub-base. This provides long-term stability while allowing water to drain naturally, reducing surface water build-up.

The final surface was completed with a sleek Golden Quartz resin-bound finish, creating a seamless and hard-wearing driveway that enhances the property’s kerb appeal. The result is a low-maintenance yet striking entrance, perfectly suited to this beautiful new build.

How do I clean a resin bound surface?

A simple sweep with a stiff broom will remove debris. For deeper cleaning, use a pressure washer with a fan-type lance, keeping at least 200mm from the surface to avoid damage. Avoid turbo nozzles or high-pressure jets in one spot.

Resin bound surfaces are resistant to weed growth, but wind-blown seeds may settle on the surface. Regular brushing and occasional power washing will help prevent this. If needed, apply a mild weed killer that’s safe for resin.

For oil spills, clean the area as soon as possible using a biodegradable oil remover, followed by a rinse with warm water. Avoid harsh solvents or bleach, as they may discolour or damage the surface.

Yes – rock salt or standard de-icing products are safe to use on resin bound surfaces during cold weather. These won't damage the resin and will help maintain grip in icy conditions.

We recommend light maintenance every few months, including brushing, washing, and checking for any debris or algae in shaded areas. This will keep the surface looking clean and performing as intended for years to come.
