Resin Bound Driveways & Pathways

STUNNING RESIN DRIVEWAY

Our clients in Danbury, Essex, wanted to refresh their driveway with a high-quality resin-bound finish. This project involved a full excavation and removal of the existing driveway, covering both the front and rear of the property.

To ensure a stable and long-lasting result, we prepared a durable base before applying the final resin-bound surface. This approach provides excellent drainage while maintaining a smooth, low-maintenance finish.

The new driveway was completed using Danish Quartz resin, delivering a seamless and elegant look that enhances the property’s kerb appeal. The natural tones of the resin create a sophisticated yet practical surface, ideal for everyday use.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean a resin bound surface?

A simple sweep with a stiff broom will remove debris. For deeper cleaning, use a pressure washer with a fan-type lance, keeping at least 200mm from the surface to avoid damage. Avoid turbo nozzles or high-pressure jets in one spot.

Resin bound surfaces are resistant to weed growth, but wind-blown seeds may settle on the surface. Regular brushing and occasional power washing will help prevent this. If needed, apply a mild weed killer that’s safe for resin.

For oil spills, clean the area as soon as possible using a biodegradable oil remover, followed by a rinse with warm water. Avoid harsh solvents or bleach, as they may discolour or damage the surface.

Yes – rock salt or standard de-icing products are safe to use on resin bound surfaces during cold weather. These won't damage the resin and will help maintain grip in icy conditions.

We recommend light maintenance every few months, including brushing, washing, and checking for any debris or algae in shaded areas. This will keep the surface looking clean and performing as intended for years to come.
