Resin Bound Driveways & Pathways

CRISP, ARCTIC DRIVEWAY

Our clients in Cuffley, Hertfordshire requested a stylish driveway with contrasting colours. The main driveway area was filled with our arctic coloured resin, whilst we created a sharp border using black.

The Ace Resin team installed approximately 400m² of permeable tarmac sub-base and resin bound material. We also resurfaced their garden path, making it stand out from the grass surroundings.

We created a black border once again on the steps leading down towards the path. The clients were extremely satisfied with the look that was achieved.

This driveway is environmentally friendly as it is fully permeable and allows water to drain through it and return to the Earth naturally. In addition, resin-bound driveways are visually stunning, durable and super hard wearing.

Park multiple cars without worrying about tyre damage from loose stones, cracking or sinking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I clean a resin bound surface?

A simple sweep with a stiff broom will remove debris. For deeper cleaning, use a pressure washer with a fan-type lance, keeping at least 200mm from the surface to avoid damage. Avoid turbo nozzles or high-pressure jets in one spot.

Resin bound surfaces are resistant to weed growth, but wind-blown seeds may settle on the surface. Regular brushing and occasional power washing will help prevent this. If needed, apply a mild weed killer that’s safe for resin.

For oil spills, clean the area as soon as possible using a biodegradable oil remover, followed by a rinse with warm water. Avoid harsh solvents or bleach, as they may discolour or damage the surface.

Yes – rock salt or standard de-icing products are safe to use on resin bound surfaces during cold weather. These won't damage the resin and will help maintain grip in icy conditions.

We recommend light maintenance every few months, including brushing, washing, and checking for any debris or algae in shaded areas. This will keep the surface looking clean and performing as intended for years to come.
