ELEGANT RESIN-BOUND DRIVEWAY

Our client in Virginia Water, Surrey, wanted a high-quality, durable upgrade for their spacious driveway. They chose our stunning Oyster Quartz resin-bound surface, offering both elegance and practicality.

To create a strong and long-lasting foundation, we first installed a permeable tarmac sub-base, ensuring excellent drainage and stability. Once the base was set, we carefully prepared and laid 240m² of resin-bound mixture, expertly applied to achieve a smooth, seamless finish.

The new surface provides enhanced traction for vehicles, with a built-in anti-slip finish for added safety. In addition to its sleek appearance, the resin-bound system is more eco-friendly than traditional concrete, allowing water to drain naturally and keeping the driveway clean and dry.

How do I clean a resin bound surface?

A simple sweep with a stiff broom will remove debris. For deeper cleaning, use a pressure washer with a fan-type lance, keeping at least 200mm from the surface to avoid damage. Avoid turbo nozzles or high-pressure jets in one spot.

Resin bound surfaces are resistant to weed growth, but wind-blown seeds may settle on the surface. Regular brushing and occasional power washing will help prevent this. If needed, apply a mild weed killer that’s safe for resin.

For oil spills, clean the area as soon as possible using a biodegradable oil remover, followed by a rinse with warm water. Avoid harsh solvents or bleach, as they may discolour or damage the surface.

Yes – rock salt or standard de-icing products are safe to use on resin bound surfaces during cold weather. These won't damage the resin and will help maintain grip in icy conditions.

We recommend light maintenance every few months, including brushing, washing, and checking for any debris or algae in shaded areas. This will keep the surface looking clean and performing as intended for years to come.
